Neretic was founded on the belief that meaningful change comes from working deeply with individuals in context, not applying a one-size-fits-all theory.

Neretic is a niche executive coaching and leadership development consultancy working at the intersection of self-leadership, team and organisational dynamics, and the wider systems that shape performance and meaningful change. Our philosophy is embedded in our name. Neretic draws from the neritic zone of the ocean: the fertile, dynamic space between the sandy beach and the deep sea, where conditions are complex, energy is high, and life thrives. It is a metaphor for leaders who desire meaningful individual and system-level change and understand that the work needs to be deep enough for real growth to occur, yet remain actionable, grounded and purposeful. With Neretic you are invited to go deep enough to do the work that matters.

Our Story…

Neretic also deliberately echoes the word heretic, as we have a commitment to question the status quo and challenge accepted ways of thinking. Our work encourages leaders to examine internal beliefs that no longer support sustainable performance, as well as organisational norms and unspoken rules that quietly constrain leadership effectiveness, personal wellbeing, and intellectual courage. Neretic creates spaces where leaders can recalibrate, gain clarity, and lead with greater impact. Neretic supports leaders to step out of autopilot, into choice, and enact leadership that is curious and values-aligned.

Renee founded Neretic in 2025. She is an experienced executive coach with over 20 years’ experience working with individuals, teams and organisations across the Australian Public Service, private sector and not-for-profit environments.

Renee’s work is informed by evidence-based practice, thoughtful use of data and research, and a deep understanding of the realities facing leaders in demanding roles. She is known for creating environments that feel steady and people feel safe enough to be brave. She facilitates complex conversations with warmth and practical insight to leadership development.

Living on the Sapphire Coast with her long-term partner, their children, and a much-loved labradoodle, Renee enjoys cycling, swimming and time in nature. She is passionate about supporting people to design and lead their lives with intention.

Renee has both bachelor’s and master’s degree in psychology and is a registered psychologist. She is accredited in multiple psychometric and workplace assessments, e.g., HBDI, DiSC, TLC, LSI, Hogan, and the OPQ and is a member of the APS, APS (US) and CAHRI.

We can work with you to...

Be brave

We design programs that encourage leaders to make brave, values-aligned decisions under pressure instead of defaulting to old habits or expectations. Neretic guides clients to achieve ambitious goals, act courageously in challenging circumstances, and make conscious choices about how they will lead.

Deepen self-awareness

Explore those thinking habits and behaviours that contribute to success, while examining what may need to be updated for different contexts and stages of career/life. Discover the often unconscious, sometimes hidden patterns shaping behaviours so you can respond with clarity, intention and choice.

Make critical change

We work with you to define and refine goals that map out critical changes you are keen to make. We support insight and growth that is more likely to last and be sustainable for those with busy lives. Neretic practice is informed by evidence-based psychology and an understanding of real-world leadership demands.
